Workplace Needs Assessments
Helping employers and employees understand dyslexia in the workplace, identify reasonable adjustments, and comply with the Equality Act 2010.
What is a Workplace Needs Assessment?
A Workplace Needs Assessment (WNA) identifies the specific challenges a dyslexic employee faces in their role and recommends practical, reasonable adjustments to help them perform at their best.
Under the Equality Act 2010, employers have a duty to make reasonable adjustments for employees with disabilities, including dyslexia. A WNA provides the evidence and recommendations needed to fulfil this duty.
A full diagnostic assessment is not required for Access to Work support, but a screener is suggested as a minimum. The WNA can be conducted online.
